About Bryan

I grew up in frigid Rochester, NY. I started competitive swimming at 7 years old. I was a member of West Irondequoit Swim Club from 7 to 18 years old. I am a 4 year varsity swimmer for Irondequoit High School and captain of the team my senior year. During High school I participated in their "learn to swim" program teaching large group of children from all ages and all skill levels. During my high school years I also lifeguarded at apartment complexes, YMCA, and a water park.
After high school I received an athletic scholarship to swim at Niagara University, a Division I athletic conference school. My freshman year I was voted as most improved swimmer. During college I also participated in a "learn to swim" program for 4 years.
During my college summers I worked as a Lifeguard on a Lake Ontario beach. When I graduated I started to coach my old swim club. I ran practices for ages 6 - 18 years old. I also participated in their "learn to swim" program after practice let out.
Then in 2003 I moved to sunny Tampa, FL, quite a change from the New York area. In 2004-2005 I coached for the Land O' Lakes Lightning Swim Club.
My whole life I have been involved some how with swimming or teaching children to swim. I love working with children and seeing how well they improve as time goes by. With all my variety of experiences ranging from learning to swim up to coaching competitively I have learned safe and effective methods to teach your child to be safe, learn to swim, and most of all have fun in the water.
I look forward to assisting your child in their swimming skills development.
